Expelled

The movie Expelled doesn't deserve the attention it's received, but for those who want a sampling of the critical bashing, see Chris Heard's post. Doug Chaplin also has helpful remarks about the dangers of becoming an unwitting ally of the ID crowd. And check out the whopping 12% approval rating at RottenTomatoes. What a riot -- though I'm surprised it's even that high.

The trailer for this cinematic embarrassment is more than enough for me, thank you.

I enjoyed the documentary and it is clear that there really are two distinct world views and that Stein is correct - the "scientific" point of view has totally bought into the atheist, evolutionist position. The result is a culture of death that has lost the integrity of scientific inquiry and embraced the kool-aid of abortion and eugenics. Cheers to Stein for having the courage to call them on it!

Frank,

There are plenty of Christians who have no problem believing in evolution. What's your problem? Contrary to what ignorant fundamentalists (and strident atheists) claim, evolution is not incompatible with God - it's only incompatible with a literal, shallow, and misguided interpretation of Genesis.

If you and Ben Stein don't like reality intruding on your comfortable delusions, too bad. It is what it is, and you're descended from other life forms whether you like it or not.

The scientific "culture of death" has given us vaccines, antibiotics, and organ transplants, among other life-saving wonders. If you're so opposed to evolution, then don't bother getting annual flu vaccines, since the flu virus can't possibly evolve from one year to the next.
